I just read that Marvin Miller passed away. He led a long and important life. He made a major contribution to the transformation of Major League Baseball in the real organization of the Players Association and in taking on the fight for free agency (along with the late and great Curt Flood). Miller was a great trade unionist and it has been a shame that the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame has refused to induct both he and Curt Flood. We should all make our voices heard on this one and insist that both of these legends be given the respect and recognition for which they are due.
