After a month of fundraising by WPFW, we are back on schedule.  Last week my program on WPFW–“ARISE!”–focused on the worker organizing at the Nissan facility in Mississippi.  That was followed by a discussion of the economy.  If you go to wpfwfm.org and look under Archives you can find back shows of “ARISE!”  Take a listen.

Tomorrow we will focus on the VA crisis.  A representative of the American Federation of Government Employees, the union which represents workers at the VA (and, i should note, the union for which i work) will be on board to help us better understand the nature of the crisis at the VA, its roots and the real deal.  I don’t know about you, but i have found the situation both murky and ugly.  The same Republicans who attacked the VA were the ones who both wanted to cut funds and privatize the VA.  At the same time, it is clear that something was going very wrong and that veterans were suffering as a result.
